The Pike's Peak Writer's Conference was awesome. I had a great time and met a lot of great people. Excellent classes and I got to sit and talk with horror writer extraordinaire Dan Simmons. My good friend and writing buddy, Mark Ortler came along and made some good contacts. I highly recommend the conference and you should all try to make the 2007 conference.

Okay, I’m not going to turn this blog into a another rally like I did on my last blog, but comemurder on now. I mean really! Five innocent women murdered and for what? A few bucks? This is insane! Whoever did this needs to be killed with painful bullets.

We had a case like this a few years back in Littleton, Colorado where someone went into a bowling alley at closing time and took all the workers into the back room and murdered them bulletsexecution style. The killer has never been caught.

These types of crimes are beyond me. I can’t even conceive how a human could do something so horrible. Oh, I can write about it, but for a person to think so little of human life. I want that to be beyond me.

In the Bible God says in Jeremiah 19:5 they have also built the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings to Baal, which I did not command or speak, nor did it come into My mind,

I can totally relate to God in this passage, and it does help me, to know that God Himself can be so distressed at the horrible things that people do to each other.falling_into_hell

But even in the face of such a horror as these women’s murders, I have solace in that I know justice will be served in the end. Either the murderer hell2will turn to God, humble himself and beg forgiveness and receive forgiveness (in Heaven), or he won’t, and when he dies, (hopefully justly and swiftly), the weight of his sins will be on him forever. For as the it says in Hebrews 10:31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
